Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, along with Union ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia and General (Retd) VK Singh, checked the progress of building the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya last Saturday.
“We all know that the airstrip in Ayodhya was very small. We had only 178 acres of land here. We could not have a big international airport in such a small strip. Under Prime Minister Modi’s direction, the proposal that was sent to the central government was approved. After being provided 821-acre land by the state government, the Airport Authority of India is working to develop the new airport at a war footing. The new airport will be ready by December 15,” Yogi said.
Minister Scindia mentioned that the Ayodhya airport should showcase the city’s history and culture.
“When someone from the country or abroad visits an airport then he/she should get a glimpse of the city’s historic significance. Hence Ayodhya’s airport should not be just another airport. We have tried to implement Ayodhya’s culture in its airport,” Scindia said.
Furthermore, he added “The 6500 square meter airport can land two to three flights in an hour. 2200 metre runway will be constructed which will be extended to 3700 metres in the second stage. This will help all international planes to land at Ayodhya.
Yogi Adityanath, along with Union ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia and General (Retd) VK Singh, visited the construction site of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya. They took time to offer prayers to Ram Lala during their visit. The day began with increased security measures and ongoing preparations in Ayodhya for their presence.
Simultaneously, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is gearing up for the grand consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22. As part of this, the trust plans to invite 4000 sadhus to participate in the significant event. The efforts highlight the anticipation and reverence surrounding the upcoming ceremony in Ayodhya.
The individuals who have received invitations for the upcoming ceremony in Ayodhya have been specifically requested not to bring their personal priests. It has been communicated that these private priests will not be granted entry to the Ram temple during the event. The process of distributing these invitation letters has already commenced, and they are being sent to various ‘maths’ under the oversight of Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. Notably, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Ram Temple on August 5, 2020, marking a significant milestone in the construction of this revered site.
It’s important to highlight that in 2019, the Supreme Court delivered a crucial verdict on the Ayodhya dispute, clearing the path for the construction of the grand Ram temple. In response to this landmark decision, the Central Government established the ‘Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra’ Trust. This trust was entrusted with the responsibility of making all decisions related to the construction of the magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Since then, the construction of the temple has been advancing steadily, with the Trust overseeing the entire process. A key aspect of the temple will be the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla in the sanctum sanctorum, adding to the significance of this revered place. The progress made underscores the collective efforts and commitment to realizing the vision set forth by the Supreme Court’s verdict.
