In recent events, Israeli forces have been carrying out attacks on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. They completed an encirclement of the Jabaliya refugee camp, according to the Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday. During their operations, they raided Hamas’s General Security Headquarters in the UN-administered refugee camp, uncovering weapons, command equipment, observation gear, and maps.
Soldiers, in collaboration with the Air Force, targeted buildings where terror squads were operating, discovering weapons and rocket launchers in civilian structures. The IDF also reported strikes on Hezbollah rocket launching posts, terror infrastructure, and a compound in Lebanon in response to Hezbollah’s rocket fire on Israel.
Tragically, there have been significant casualties. At least 1,200 people lost their lives in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Additionally, 240 individuals, including men, women, children, and soldiers, were taken hostage, and some people are still unaccounted for as Israeli authorities work to identify bodies and search for human remains.
In an update, the IDF now reports that at least 1,200 people were killed in Hamas’s October 7 attacks, and currently, 137 individuals, including men, women, children, soldiers, and foreign nationals, are being held hostage in Gaza. The search for missing persons continues as Israeli authorities intensify efforts to identify victims and locate human remains.
