Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL), a significant player in the Adani group, has made key leadership changes to boost the growth of Adani Infrastructure India Limited. Bimal Dayal, the current CEO of the Transmission business, is now the Chief Executive Officer of Adani Infrastructure India Limited. In this new role, Dayal will lead the implementation of various infrastructure projects, including those in thermal, renewable energy, and green hydrogen.
This move is in line with the broader vision of the Adani portfolio, which recently announced plans to invest over Rs. 7 lakh crore in the next decade, solidifying its position as Bharat’s largest infrastructure player. The transition has received formal approval from AESL’s board of directors.
Anil Sardana, the Managing Director of AESL, and Kandarp Patel, overseeing all verticals of AESL, will lead growth initiatives in Transmission, Distribution, and smart meter segments. This realignment emphasizes the commitment to achieving an annual growth rate of over 15% in the infrastructure sector.
The Adani portfolio, represented by Adani Enterprises Limited, has successfully ventured into diverse sectors such as ports, airports, solar manufacturing, roads, metros and rails, defence and aerospace, and data centres. The recent leadership changes highlight the group’s dedication to continuous improvement and growth across its diversified portfolio.
AESL, within the Adani portfolio, plays a crucial role in the energy domain, covering power transmission, distribution, smart metering, and cooling solutions. As the country’s largest private transmission company, AESL operates across 14 states, serving over 12 million consumers in metropolitan Mumbai and the industrial hub of Mundra SEZ. The company aims to become Bharat’s leading smart metering integrator, focusing on transforming the energy landscape in a reliable, affordable, and sustainable manner.
These strategic changes position AESL and Adani Infrastructure to make significant contributions to the global energy and infrastructure sectors, building upon their successful track record of completed projects.
