Bhajanlal Sharma, from Bharatpur in Rajasthan, is now the Chief Minister of the state. He took the oath in a ceremony in Jaipur, with the Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra officiating.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by top leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda. Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa also took the oath as Deputy Chief Ministers.
Chief Ministers from other states, including Pramod Sawant (Goa), Manik Saha (Tripura), Eknath Shinde (Maharashtra), Bhupendra Patel (Gujarat), and Pushkar Singh Dhami (Uttarakhand), were present at the event.
Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje attended the ceremony, along with Union Ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Nitin Gadkari was also present.
Bhajanlal Sharma, with a master’s degree in political science, won the Sanganer assembly seat by a significant margin in the recent elections.
Prem Chand Bairwa, the sitting BJP MLA from Dudu, and Diya Kumari, a member of the Royal Family of Jaipur, were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers.
In the recent Rajasthan Assembly Election, BJP secured 115 seats, while Congress got 69 seats out of 200. The election took place on November 25.
