Bharat managed to avoid a series defeat against South Africa by winning the third T20I in Johannesburg by a massive 106-run margin, leveling the series at 1-1. The Men in Blue put up a strong performance in both batting and bowling departments, with notable contributions from key players.
In the batting department, Shubman Gill had a decent start but was dismissed controversially, putting his place in the side at risk. Yashasvi Jaiswal performed well, scoring a valuable half-century, solidifying his position at the top of the order. Tilak Varma, unfortunately, got out for a duck with an aggressive shot.
Suryakumar Yadav was the standout performer, playing a stellar innings and smashing a century to maintain momentum for Bharat. Jitesh Sharma had limited time and got dismissed in a peculiar manner. Rinku Singh hit a six but couldn’t clear the boundary on a friendly delivery.
In the bowling department, Ravindra Jadeja contributed with the bat and ball, hitting a boundary off his first ball and taking two wickets. Kuldeep Yadav was exceptional, taking a five-wicket haul with ease. Arshdeep Singh had a decent performance, dismissing Heinrich Klaasen, and Mohammed Siraj bowled tightly, even running out an in-form Reeza Hendricks with a direct hit.
Mukesh Kumar, however, was the most expensive bowler for India on the night, conceding 21 runs in his two overs. Despite this, the overall team effort helped India secure a convincing victory in the third T20I.
