In a recent incident at the Parliament, four individuals named Neelam, Amol, Sagar Sharma, and Manoranjan planned a security breach. Surprisingly, they arrived with not just one or two but seven smoke cans to carry out their plan. To make matters more covert, they extensively searched the Parliament area on Google and even watched old videos of Parliament security. They also went the extra mile by researching how to have secure chats, using the Signal app to avoid detection by the police.
The group’s primary motive was to grab attention in the media, so they devised a plan to enter the Parliament during a session. This raised concerns among opposition parties, leading to demands for a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. CPI MP Binoy Viswam insisted that an explanation is owed to the Parliament and, by extension, to the people of Bharat.
The aftermath of the breach saw the suspension of 13 opposition MPs for causing a ruckus regarding their demands. The two Houses were adjourned without conducting any business. The investigation by the Special Cell of Delhi Police uncovered that the mastermind, Lalit Jha, revealed the accused had met several times and executed the conspiracy. Jha further disclosed that their goal was to create anarchy in the country to force the government to meet their demands.
In response to the incident, Delhi’s Patiala House Court granted a seven-day custodial remand for all four accused individuals. The security breach, occurring on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, involved two individuals jumping into the Lok Sabha chamber, releasing yellow gas, and shouting anti-establishment slogans before being subdued by MPs. Additionally, outside the Parliament, two protestors with gas canisters, Neelam and Amol, staged a demonstration related to the breach. Further investigation led to the detention of two more individuals suspected of association with the arrested individuals in the case.
