On Saturday, the BJP decided to hold protests all across Karnataka to express their strong disapproval of a terrible incident in Belagavi. In this incident, a woman from a tribal community underwent a horrible experience—she was undressed and tied to a pole. This happened because her son supposedly ran away with a girl from their village. Meanwhile, the national president of BJP, J P Nadda, set up a team of five women to investigate the situation and gather facts by visiting the village. On the flip side, Karnataka’s chief minister, Siddaramaiah, claimed that the BJP is exploiting the incident for political reasons.
Switching gears to different news, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made a significant announcement on the last day of the Winter Session of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in Belagavi. He stated that there will be a special benefit for farmers who have fully repaid the main amount of their farm loans.
To put it simply, if farmers have paid back all the money they borrowed, they won’t have to worry about the interest on their loans. This move is aimed at helping and supporting farmers in the state, providing some relief in the tough world of agriculture.
