Over the last day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a significant operation in the Gaza Strip. The 888 “Refaim” unit, part of the 99th Infantry Division, targeted a house in Jabalia, northern Gaza, believed to be owned by a senior member of the Hamas terrorist organization. In the operation, they discovered suitcases containing about 5 million Shekels (USD 1.35 million) in terrorist funds and various weapons.
Simultaneously, the IDF’s 646th Paratrooper Brigade attacked another terrorist infrastructure, uncovering a stash of weapons, explosives, combat gear, and RPG rockets. Additionally, a basement in the same location held a supply of mortars and ammunition. The IDF forces also located and destroyed rocket-launching sites aimed at Israeli territory.
An Israel Air Force plane identified a suspicious group entering a Hamas terror infrastructure in the Khan Yunis area. Givati Brigade infantry forces guided a combat helicopter to eliminate the squad. Israel Navy forces also joined the operation, targeting Hamas terrorist sites along the shores of the Gaza Strip in support of ground forces.
In summary, the IDF conducted a multi-pronged operation involving air, sea, and land forces to strike over 150 terrorist targets in Gaza. These actions aimed to disrupt Hamas activities, uncover weapons, and neutralize potential threats to Israeli security.
