Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, is going to Delhi to meet with the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), JP Nadda. He shared this information while talking to reporters in Bhopal, the state capital, a day before his scheduled visit. Chouhan mentioned that it’s his first visit to Delhi since stepping down as Chief Minister.
Chouhan confirmed the meeting with Nadda, saying that it was called by the BJP Chief. However, when asked if discussions about him getting a position in the Union cabinet ministry would take place, Chouhan stated that he had no information about it. He emphasized that he is open to whatever decision the party makes.
Chouhan expressed his commitment to the BJP as a mission and mentioned his favorite issues that he would continue working on. He highlighted environment conservation, women empowerment, and child welfare as topics close to his heart. Chouhan stated that the party’s decision is his guide, and he’ll work accordingly.
Regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections next year, Chouhan discussed the party’s target of winning all 29 seats from Madhya Pradesh under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He urged party workers to put in their best efforts for this goal. Chouhan’s tenure as Chief Minister ended recently, with BJP MLA Mohan Yadav taking over the position.
The transition occurred last week when Mohan Yadav was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in a ceremony attended by Governor Mangubhai C. Patel. The oath-taking ceremony took place at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal, marking the end of Chouhan’s era as Chief Minister.
