In a heartfelt tribute to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the statue of the esteemed leader. The ceremony, held on Saturday, was marked by a special initiative to support farmers as 51 lucky individuals were gifted tractors under the ‘Krishak Uphar Yojana.’
The initiative, aimed at assisting the farming community, saw a total of 93 farmers being shortlisted through lucky draws for the free distribution of tractors across the state. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally handed over the keys to 51 farmers, expressing the government’s commitment to uplifting the agricultural sector.
As part of the commemoration, CM Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to unveil a monumental 51-foot-tall statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh in Moradabad’s Bilari Assembly. The statue stands as a symbol of respect and recognition for the significant contributions of the former Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
In addition to the statue unveiling, a conference will be hosted by CM Yogi Adityanath to engage with the farming community and discuss crucial agricultural issues. The chief minister also plans to honor farmers during the event, acknowledging their pivotal role in the state’s prosperity.
The installation of the 51-foot-tall statue has garnered positive responses from various quarters. Mohammad Faheem Irfan, SP leader and MLA Bilari Assembly, expressed his pride in the moment, welcoming the chief minister and the symbolic gesture. He anticipates that CM Yogi Adityanath may make new announcements during the event, providing potential benefits and gifts for the constituency.
Chaudhary Charan Singh, who served as the fifth Prime Minister of Bharat from July 1979 to January 1980, holds a significant place in the history of the nation. His legacy extends to being a two-time Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and a Union minister in Morarji Desai’s cabinet.
