In a much-anticipated development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the impressive railway station and airport under construction in Ayodhya on December 30. The grand event will also witness the Prime Minister overseeing preparations for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024.
The inauguration ceremony will kick off with the Prime Minister giving the green signal to the rails, followed by a roadshow and a public address at the ground adjacent to the airport. The railway station, designed in the shape of a temple dedicated to Prabhu Shri Ram of Ayodhya, is reaching its final stages of construction. The station boasts modern facilities such as lifts, a tourist information center, and medical facilities.
Preparations for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir are in full swing, with the Indian Railways announcing the operation of over 1000 trains from various parts of the country to accommodate the influx of citizens visiting Ayodhya in the first 100 days of the temple’s opening. The Ayodhya railway station is undergoing a comprehensive revamp, including refurbished platforms, new signboards, escalators, and murals depicting Lord Ram on its walls.
The significance of the railway station is not only modern but also holds mythological importance, resembling a grand temple from the outside. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is actively reviewing preparations for the Ayodhya Ram temple’s inaugural ceremony, emphasizing the expected daily influx of 50,000-55,000 people to Ayodhya after January 22.
In parallel, a unique initiative has been taken by children in Ayodhya, who dressed as characters from the Ramayana and went door-to-door to invite people for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir. Simultaneously, the BJP has announced a nationwide campaign starting January 1, where party workers will visit villages across the country, encouraging ten crore families to participate in Diya Lighting programs for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The enthusiasm is palpable as Ayodhya gears up for these historic events that blend tradition with modernity.
