In Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, local BJP MLA Tsering Tashi hoisted a 73 feet high-mast national flag, which will act as a source of inspiration for unity, integrity and national strength. The flag is installed at a height of 15,200 feet above sea level.
Tsering Tashi, during the flag hoisting event, praised the border guarding troops asked them to continue their generous and humane service to the nation.
Apart from this, the lawmaker hailed the civil-military bonhomie in Tawang, which has led to constant growth and development in the fields of medical, education, infrastructure and social well-fare.
The MLA appreciated the Flag Foundation of India for supplying the high-mast flag and the Indian Army for facilitating the flag installation.
The event holds significance amidst China’s unethical claims over Arunachal Pradesh.
Recently, it officially released the “standard map” where Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin region is shown as portion of its territory.
Flag Foundation of India CEO Maj Gen (Retd) Ashim Kohli, Tawang Brigade commander Brigadier Vipul Singh Rajput, officials of the district administration, troops of the Indian Army, ITBP, SSB, NCC cadets and others graced the occasion.
