Preparations for the Pranpratistha ceremony at Lord Rama’s temple in Ayodhya are in full swing, with completion expected by January 15. The event, scheduled for January 22, will witness the presence of notable personalities, including the Dalai Lama, Baba Ramdev, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and others who have been invited to participate.
Champatarai, the general secretary of the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthkshetra trust, announced that 150 sadhus from various traditions, 13 akharas, and Shankaracharyas from six darshan traditions will be part of the ceremony. The accommodation for guests has been arranged in multiple locations in Ayodhya, with 600 rooms available in various monasteries and local residences.
Dignitaries and Absences
The guest list for the ceremony includes renowned personalities such as Arun Govil, Madhuri Dixit, Madhur Bhandarkar, Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Ratan Tata, and painter Vasudev Kamat. However, due to health reasons and old age, former Union Home Minister LK Advani and senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi will not be able to attend. A three-member committee has been appointed to extend an invitation to former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda.
Pranpratistha Ceremony Details
The pranapratistha ceremony will commence on January 16 and continue until January 22, with Mandal Pooja following for 24 to 48 days as per North Indian tradition. Devotees will have the opportunity to witness Ramlalla from January 22 onwards. The arrangements for guest accommodation are extensive, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for all attendees.
