Janata Dal United or JDU chief Nitish Kumar, five days after taking charge, fielded party’s first candidate from Northeastern State of Arunachal Pradesh for 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Ruhi Tangung, JDU Arunachal Pradesh unit president, will be the party candidate from Arunachal West Parliamentary Constituency for the forthcoming election to the 2024 Lok Sabha election, stated the party release.
Besides, JDU will fight Assembly Elections which is set to be held simultaneously along with Lok Sabha elections 2024, declared Nitish Kumar.
Nitish Kumar indicated to the allies of INDIA or Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance bloc that they should commence the process of seat sharing. Recently, reports of Congress considering Nitish Kumar as the convenor of the alliance surfaced. It was JDU’s long-withstanding demand.
Apart from this, Nitish Kumar reportedly attacked Congress blaming the Grand Old Party of evading talks on reservation and caste-based calculation matter before publicly speaking about it.
