In a significant development, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Thursday that around 100 chartered planes are expected to land in Ayodhya on January 22 for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple. The event marks a pivotal moment, attracting dignitaries and guests from across the country.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating the Ayodhya Airport on December 30, CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the importance of this international airport in boosting connectivity. The airport’s capacity is set to expand in phases, ultimately catering to 60 lakh passengers annually.
The first tri-weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya were launched by Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, with CM Yogi Adityanath receiving the symbolic first boarding pass. The airport’s terminal building, costing over Rs 1,450 crore, reflects the architectural aesthetics of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir.
Security measures have been significantly heightened, with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) taking charge of the airport’s security. The Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) is integrated with 1500 public CCTV cameras, and Ayodhya’s yellow zone boasts 10,715 AI-based cameras with face recognition technology.
To ensure a safe and smooth celebration, emergency response teams, boat patrols, and an Anti-Drone System overseen by the Special Security Force (SSF) have been deployed. The public is advised that entry during the celebrations, from January 20 to 22, will be restricted to those invited by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple, set for January 22, will see Vedic rituals commencing on January 16, lasting for a week. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple.
As the city readies itself for the celebrations, CM Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to implement the ‘Kumbh model of cleanliness’ in Ayodhya. Stringent cleanliness measures have been put in place to ensure that Ayodhya appears as the cleanest and most beautiful city during this momentous occasion. Dust-free roads and daily-cleaned toilets are among the steps taken to enhance the overall experience for residents and visitors alike.
