In a remarkable display of enthusiasm and solidarity, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in the United States, along with Hindus from across the nation, has erected over 40 billboards in more than 10 states. The billboards feature Lord Ram and the majestic Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony scheduled for January 22.
These billboards are not limited to one region but have been strategically placed in states like Texas, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and Georgia. Arizona and the State of Missouri are also expected to join this visual celebration starting January 15, according to the VHP’s American chapter.
Amitabh VW Mittal, the general secretary of the Hindu Parishad of America, expressed that these billboards convey a resounding message — that Hindu Americans are joyously participating in this once-in-a-lifetime event. Their excitement is palpable as they eagerly await the auspicious day of the consecration ceremony.
To further commemorate the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Hindu American community has organized car rallies and planned various events leading up to the ‘Pran Pratishtha.’
Bharat Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the ceremonial installation of the idol of Shri Ram Lalla inside the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple on January 22. Leaders and dignitaries from diverse backgrounds have been invited to the grand temple opening, which will span seven days, starting January 16.
Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla are set to commence on January 16, a week before the main ceremony.
In a broader context, the Bharat envoy to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, emphasized the universal appeal of the Ramayan, stating that it serves as a bridge across geographies, teaching profound lessons about human relationships and the eternal struggle between good and evil.
Meanwhile, the anticipation in Bharat surrounding the Ram Temple’s opening is not limited to its borders. The Mauritian government has announced a special two-hour break for Hindu public officers on January 22, allowing them to participate in local events marking the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The Mauritian Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, recognizes this landmark event as a symbol of the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya.
As the global Hindu community eagerly awaits the historic ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, these events reflect the widespread significance and celebration of this momentous occasion.
