‘The Bear’ actor Ebon Moss Bachrach while accepting his Critics Choice Award for best supporting actor in comedy series thanked songwriter and popstar Taylor Swift in one of the sweetest yet surprising gestures. In what could be termed as cherry to the cake, Taylor congratulated the actor on winning the award.
“I’ve gotta thank my two special scene partners this year, Olivia Colman and Taylor Swift,” he said, to laughs from the audience, before thanking his wife, and two daughters for their support.
Reacting to it the “paper rings” singer replied to a news post about his speech on microblogging site X from Rolling stone. “Congratulations!! 🫶🤭🙏,” Swift wrote.
Significantly, Bachrach’s character Richie, in the highy acclaimed show starring Jeremy Allen White, tries to score some Swift’s concert tickets for his daughter and ex-wife. In one of the scenes, he could be seen singing Taylor’s hit song “Love Story” while driving alone in his car, showing tiny bits of happiness in Richie’s otherwise chaotic life.
Bachrach also thanked Colman in his speech, who was a guest actor in the show, playing the character Chef Terry, who lead a training program for Richie in the show.
