BJP, the central force, the party which is will be making the most noise in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections has taken its preparations up a notch. The ruling BJP is set to instate a number of leaders from across various political parties, with Congress being the main target.
While the main aim of these induction is strengthening the party, the main objective behind the new development is a strategy to weaken leaders of the opposition.
“The BJP has been welcoming new inductees to strengthen the party in the areas where it is electorally and ideologically weak. In the run-up to the elections, such joining programmes would add to the entire poll atmosphere. But this time, the main target would be the Congress and the exit of key influential leaders will weaken that party in a particular area,” the Indian express quoted a BJP leader.
In recent years many leaders of the congress changed ships and joined BJP, which in turn undermined Rahul’s authenticity. Some of the major names include Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, and Public works minister in UP govt Jitin Prasada, and ex-union minister RPN Singh.
But the question is why these leaders chose BJP over the Congress? Why many leaders are questioning their worth in the Congress? Why did they needed the switch? Is it so that the competence they exude and the ambition to bring change could only be executed by coming to the BJP?
