In a monumental event on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a three-minute video capturing the historic opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister expressed that this significant moment “will be etched in our memories for years to come.”
The video showcases Prime Minister Modi walking into the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, holding a silver umbrella on a folded red dupatta. He actively participated in the consecration ceremony of the newly constructed temple, seeking blessings from the new Ram Lalla idol.
The emotional clip also featured Sadhvi Ritambhara, a prominent leader of the Ram temple movement, shedding tears during the ‘pran pratishtha’ rituals.
Addressing a gathering of over 7,000 dignitaries at the Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony, PM Modi expressed, “What we saw in Ayodhya yesterday, 22nd January, will be etched in our memories for years to come.” He emphasized the arrival of Ram after centuries of anticipation.

Prime Minister Modi, in a symbolic gesture, showered flower petals on the dedicated workers who played a crucial role in the construction of the Ayodhya temple.
Earlier on Monday, Modi declared that January 22, 2024, is not merely a date on the calendar but marks the commencement of a new era. He rejoiced, saying, “Our Ram Lalla will no longer reside in a tent. Our Ram Lalla will now reside in this divine temple,” addressing the enthusiastic gathering.

He emphasized that the consecration of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya signifies not only the consecration of the deity but also the “unwavering faith in Indian culture” embodied by Lord Ram. Modi urged the nation to lay the foundation for the next thousand years of Bharat from this sacred moment.
