In a strategic move signaling the commencement of electoral preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to kick off his campaign with a rally in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, on January 25. This comes on the heels of the recent Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha Samaroh in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister’s convoy movements are expected to affect traffic in Noida and Yamuna Expressways, prompting the Noida traffic police to implement intermittent restrictions on Thursday morning and afternoon.

Traffic Diversions in Gautam Buddha Nagar:

To ensure the smooth movement of the Prime Minister’s convoy, several key traffic diversions have been planned in Gautam Buddha Nagar:

  • Traffic heading towards Greater Noida from Chilla Red Light on the Expressway will be diverted from Sector 14A Flyover, taking a roundabout route through Golchakkar Chowk towards Sector 15.
  • Traffic from DND heading towards Greater Noida will be diverted from Rajnigandha Chowk towards Sector 16.
  • Traffic coming from Kalindi Border towards Greater Noida will be diverted from Mahamaya Flyover towards Sector 37.
  • Traffic from Sector 37 on the Expressway towards Greater Noida will be diverted from Sector 44 Golchakkar to Double Service Road.
  • Traffic from Zero Point on Yamuna Expressway will be diverted towards Pari Chowk.
Traffic coming from Agra towards Noida will be diverted beyond Jevar Toll towards Jevar town and further towards Khurja Bypass.
  • Traffic going towards Noida from Pari Chowk on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be diverted from Pari Chowk towards Soojpur.
  • Traffic coming towards Noida from Agra will be diverted towards Sector 151 via Hindon Cut.
  • Traffic heading towards Noida from Greater Noida on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be diverted from Charkha Golchakkar towards Sector 94.
  • Traffic from Kalindi Border to Dalit Prerna Sthal Parking Tiraha, going towards DND/Chilla, will be diverted from Mahamaya Flyover towards Sector 37.
  • Traffic from GIP towards Film City Flyover, going towards DND, will be diverted from underneath the Film City Flyover via U-turn.
  • Traffic from Rajnigandha towards DND Flyover, going towards Delhi, will be diverted from Rajnigandha Chowk.

Emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass during traffic diversions. This move is seen as a significant development in the political landscape as parties gear up for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

These traffic diversions are implemented to ensure the safety and security of the Prime Minister during his rally, and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly on the specified date.
