In his annual ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed students, parents, and teachers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle and fostering a healthy competitive spirit. He urged students to manage stress and focus on their well-being during exam preparations.
One key aspect highlighted by PM Modi was the need for a “no gadget zone” inside homes. He advocated for quality family time without the interference of technology, suggesting that during family gatherings, especially at the dining table, the use of phones for communication should be avoided.
PM Modi drew attention to the correlation between recharging electronic gadgets and recharging our bodies. He stressed the importance of proper sleep, stating, “If your mobile requires to be charged, then shouldn’t you keep your body charged as well? For this, getting proper sleep is also very important.”
Addressing the various sources of stress faced by students, PM Modi identified three types: induced by peer pressure, by parents, and self-induced. He advised students to set small goals during exam preparation, gradually improving performance to alleviate self-induced pressure.
The prime minister acknowledged the significant role of students in shaping India’s future, describing them as the architects of the nation’s destiny. He expressed that the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme is like an examination for him, underscoring the importance of engaging with students ahead of their examinations.
PM Modi commended the innovation displayed by students, noting that they have become more creative than ever. The ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme, organized by the Ministry of Education, has been a platform for meaningful engagement with students, parents, and teachers for the past six years.
As the seventh episode of this outreach initiative unfolded, PM Modi encouraged students to set realistic goals, manage stress, and prioritize their overall well-being during the exam season. The program aimed to provide valuable insights and guidance to students as they navigate the challenges of academic life.
