The Mumbai police arrested Mufti Salman Azhari, an Islamic preacher in connection with a hate speech case registered in Gujarat.
A crowd gathered near the police station in demand for his release. The crowd did not leave the area and blocked the road late in the night.
The police were making announcements over loudspeakers to leave the area and go home. Notably, Junagadh police in Gujarat arrested two persons on Saturday after the release of a video of hate speech delivered by the preacher.
Many Hindu leaders also get arrested, have you ever seen their supporters creating such scene, trying to threaten police?

The speech was delivered at an event in Junagadh on the night of January 31. An FIR was registered against Azhari and local organisers Mohammad Yousuf Malek and Azim Habib Odedara under Indian Penal Code sections 153 B (promoting enmity between different religious groups) and 505 (2) (making statements conducive to public mischief).
According to the media reports, an additional police force was called to control the crowd.
