The Devbhoomi Uttarakhand on Thursday burned profusely as it witnessed stone pelting and arson in the Haldwani area, claiming four lives and leaving over 250 people injured. The situation worsened after the violent Islamic mob attacked the authorities who were taking action against a madrasa built illegally atop a government land, near the Banbhulpura police station. To stop the situation from worsening further, an order of “shoot at sight” was issued by the authorities of the Haldwani area of Nainital district. Additionally, the District Magistrate has imposed a curfew in Banbhoolpura, while all schools have been shut with immediate effect.
