The Aam Aadmi Party announced that it will announce candidates for all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab as there won’t be any alliance with the Congress in the state. This is another setback for the opposition ‘INDIA’ bloc.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced on Saturday that the AAP will be contesting elections in all 13 seats in the state and 1 in Chandigarh. He attacked Congress and said, “People in Punjab had hardly remembered any good work that INDIA ally had done when it ruled the state”.
Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee’s also declared that her party will also go solo in West Bengal but it’s yet to recover from the loss of one of its architects, Janata Dal (United) President Nitish Kumar, who switched to the BJP-led NDA last month.
The political circumstances are chaotic in Uttar Pradesh, as there are signs of an agreement between the Congress and Samajwadi Party but also strong speculation of another INDIA ally, the Jayant Chaudhary-led Rashtriya Lok Dal, joining hands with the NDA.
Arvind Kejriwal spoke at a public event on the doorstep delivery of ration in Punjab, “The Lok Sabha elections will take place in two months. Punjab has 13 seats and Chandigarh has one. The AAP will announce its candidates for all 14 seats in the next 10-15 days”.
“Government of Bhagwant Mann has done good work in less than two years, including giving free electricity. The Congress ruled the state for so many years in the past 75 years. If I ask you to tell me one work done by the Congress which can be remembered, you won’t be able to tell me. If I ask you for one good thing that Akali Dal had done, you will not remember”.
