Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a significant step by constituting a special team comprising retired officers and senior educationists. This team, consisting of 12 retired officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), four from the Indian Police Service (IPS), and seven from the Indian Forest Service (IFS), along with 19 senior educationists, will play a crucial role in engaging with the youth. The primary objective of this team is to introduce young people to the upcoming Global Investors Summit-2024 and Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC@IV) through various interactions and discussions.
Engagement with Youth in Universities and Colleges
On February 17-18, the specially appointed team will engage in discussions with students at different universities and colleges across Uttar Pradesh. These discussions will focus on addressing queries related to jobs, employment, and career planning, while also raising awareness about the Global Investors Summit-2023 and GBC@IV. The aim is to ensure that the youth are well-informed about the opportunities and benefits that these initiatives bring to the state.
Dialogue with Chief Minister
In a special event held at the Chief Minister’s residence, Yogi Adityanath engaged in a dialogue with the 42-member special team, expressing his appreciation for their support in the state’s development. He highlighted the success of the previous Global Investors Summit and emphasized the importance of implementing the investment proposals to boost the state’s development and provide ample employment opportunities for the youth.
Focus on Equal Development
Addressing the issue of inequality in development across different regions of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the need to address the disparities. He acknowledged that while certain regions like Central Uttar Pradesh and the NCR have seen significant development, areas like Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bundelkhand have lagged behind. Efforts are being made to bridge this gap and ensure that every district benefits from industrial development.
Importance of Awareness and Interaction
Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of continuous communication between the government, industry, and educational institutions to ensure the success of developmental plans. He emphasized the need for interaction with the youth to make them aware of various government schemes and policies aimed at their welfare. This interaction will also help in guiding the youth towards utilizing the opportunities presented by the upcoming summit for their bright future.
Encouraging Return of Workers
Highlighting the positive impact of recent initiatives, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned the return of 60,000 workers from Tamil Nadu to Uttar Pradesh, all of whom found employment in the textile sector. This return reflects their optimism for a prosperous future in the state. Additionally, efforts have been made to facilitate employment opportunities for migrants returning to Uttar Pradesh during the COVID-19 period through skill mapping.
Call for Social Responsibility
In conclusion, Yogi Adityanath called upon universities and colleges to fulfill their social responsibilities by actively engaging students with government policies and schemes. He emphasized the need for universities to work towards ensuring that students are well-informed about the opportunities available to them, thereby contributing to their overall development and the progress of the state.
