Born on February 18, 1836, in West Bengal, the eminent saint, and spiritual guide, Ramakrishna Paramahansa is hailed as Swami Vivekananda's mentor. Originally named Gadadhar Chattopadhyay, he abandoned worldly ties to embrace a spiritual journey, attaining profound knowledge of the divine, earning him the title Paramahamsa. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa's spiritual inclination surfaced early in his life. At the tender age of 9, he underwent the sacred thread ceremony, enabling him to engage in religious rituals as per Vedic traditions. His family tended to the Dakshineswar Kali Temple along the Hooghly River in Barrackpore, Kolkata. Subsequently, Ramakrishna Paramahansa devoted himself to serving Mother Kali and eventually became the temple's chief priest in 1856. Legend has it that he experienced a direct vision of Mother Kali, solidifying his spiritual stature.
