Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with his cabinet colleagues, embarked on a spiritual journey to Ayodhya on Tuesday, filled with devotion and excitement. Their primary aim was to pay homage to Lord Ram at the revered Ram Lalla temple.
The delegation, comprising prominent figures like Satpal Maharaj, Premchand Aggarwal, Subodh Uniyal, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Rekha Arya, and Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, commenced their journey from Jolly Grant Airport, receiving a warm welcome upon their arrival at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya. The air resonated with chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ as they stepped onto the holy grounds.
After reaching Ayodhya, CM Dhami and his colleagues expressed their reverence by bowing before Lord Ram and offering prayers at Shri Ayodhya Dham. The experience left CM Dhami deeply moved, evoking emotions of devotion and joy. He reflected on the humble abode of Ram Lalla, who resided in a tent for many years, underscoring the sanctity of the moment.
In a significant announcement, Chief Minister Dhami revealed plans for the Uttarakhand government to construct a state guesthouse in Ayodhya, a gesture aimed at facilitating pilgrims from Uttarakhand. He disclosed that an allocation of Rs 32 crore has been sanctioned for the acquisition of land, spanning 4700 square meters, for the construction of this facility.
CM Dhami emphasized the importance of providing pilgrims with comfortable accommodations during their visit to Ayodhya. He assured that the state guesthouse would cater to the needs of Shri Ram devotees from Uttarakhand, ensuring a hospitable and convenient stay for all.
