New Delhi gears up for the ninth edition of the Raisina Dialogue, set to unfold from today until Friday, February 23. The prestigious conference, aimed at tackling global geopolitical and geoeconomic challenges, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Adding to the grandeur, Greece’s Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will grace the inauguration session as the chief guest.
What is the Raisina Dialogue?
The Raisina Dialogue serves as an annual platform delving into critical global issues, drawing participants from diverse backgrounds including politics, business, media, and civil society. Organized in New Delhi, the event fosters multi-stakeholder discussions involving heads of state, ministers, and local government officials, along with thought leaders from private sectors, media, and academia. The conference is orchestrated by the Observer Research Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.
Under the theme “Chaturanga: Conflict, Contest, Cooperate, Create,” the 2024 edition of the Raisina Dialogue seeks to explore pressing global issues through six thematic pillars. These pillars encompass discussions on various fronts such as technology, peace initiatives, warfare dynamics, multilateralism, post-2030 agendas, and defending democracy.
With over 2,500 participants hailing from approximately 115 countries, the 2024 Raisina Dialogue is poised to witness a diverse and global engagement. Notably, the conference expects millions of viewers tuning in across digital platforms worldwide. Among the attendees are ministers, former heads of state, military leaders, technology experts, scholars, journalists, and strategic affairs pundits, representing a spectrum of perspectives and expertise.
