In a shocking incident on Sunday, Nafe Singh Rathee, the Haryana chief of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), was allegedly shot dead in Bahadurgarh. The tragic incident also claimed the life of another party worker, Jaikishan, according to police reports.
The assailants, reportedly traveling in a Hyundai i10, opened fire on Rathee’s car, resulting in his fatal injuries. Additionally, multiple security personnel sustained critical injuries during the attack. INLD leader Abhay Chautala confirmed the death of the party worker.
Jhajjar SP Arpit Jain revealed that investigative teams, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Special Task Force (STF), have initiated an inquiry into the case, assuring that the culprits will be apprehended promptly.
The injured victims were rushed to Brahmashakti Sanjeevani Hospital, where, sadly, two individuals succumbed to their injuries due to excessive bleeding. Dr. Manish Sharma, a doctor at the hospital, disclosed that Nafe Singh Rathee had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Those injured in the incident recieved treatment in the ICU, with bullet wounds in their shoulders, chest, and thighs, as stated by the hospital authorities.
