In a significant stride towards bolstering Bharat’s developmental landscape, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit spanning Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra, commencing on Tuesday. The visit will witness the inauguration and laying of foundation stones for various pivotal projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure and fostering growth across these states.
PM Modi’s Itinerary:
Kerala: Prime Minister Modi’s journey kicks off with a visit to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, around 10:45 am. In a momentous occasion, he will inaugurate three seminal space infrastructure projects, including the PSLV Integration Facility (PIF) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, the Semi-cryogenics Integrated Engine and Stage Test facility at ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, and the Trisonic Wind Tunnel at VSSC. These projects, developed at a combined cost of approximately ₹1,800 crore, are poised to furnish cutting-edge technical capabilities to India’s space sector. Additionally, Modi will review the progress of the Gaganyaan Mission and confer ‘astronaut wings’ to designated astronauts.
Tamil Nadu: Transitioning to Tamil Nadu, PM Modi will participate in the program ‘Creating the Future – Digital Mobility for Automotive MSME Entrepreneurs’ in Madurai during the afternoon. Here, he will launch two pivotal initiatives – the TVS Open Mobility Platform and the TVS Mobility-CII Centre of Excellence, aimed at bolstering MSMEs in the automotive industry. The following day, Modi will lay the foundation stone for multiple infrastructure projects valued at over ₹17,300 crore in Thoothukudi, including the Outer Harbor Container Terminal at V.O.Chidambaranar Port and India’s first indigenous green hydrogen fuel cell inland waterway vessel under the Harit Nauka initiative. Further, he will dedicate rail and road projects, marking significant strides in the state’s transportation sector.
Maharashtra: Concluding his tour in Maharashtra, PM Modi will partake in a public program in Yavatmal, inaugurating a slew of development projects exceeding ₹4,900 crore. Noteworthy among these is the disbursal of the second and third instalments of ‘Namo Shetkari MahaSanman Nidhi,’ benefiting millions of farmers, alongside the distribution of ₹825 crore to women Self Help Groups (SHGs). Additionally, Modi will initiate the distribution of one crore Ayushman cards and launch the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana for OBC category beneficiaries. The event will witness the unveiling of various irrigation, rail, and road projects, further fortifying Maharashtra’s socio-economic landscape.
