In a recent address at the CII Delhi State Annual Session and Business Conference, South Korean Ambassador to Bharat, Chang Jae-bok, commended the enduring business partnership between the two nations. He emphasized the substantial investments and deepening collaborations that have characterized their relationship over the years.
Ambassador Chang highlighted the need for further improvements in Bharat’s business environment to attract more investments. He encouraged Bharatiya businesses to explore opportunities in Korea, acknowledging the importance of mutual economic growth.
Expressing gratitude towards CII and its members for their contributions to enhancing Korea-Bharat economic relations, Ambassador Chang affirmed the Korean Embassy’s commitment to fostering continued collaboration with CII.
Ambassador Chang noted the diversification of investments across various sectors, moving beyond the traditional focus on electronics and automobiles. He highlighted the significant strides made by Korean semiconductor companies, aligning with India’s Semiconductor Mission.
The envoy also emphasized the increasing intertwining of investments, with a growing interest in joint ventures with Indian companies. He believed that such collaborations would create synergies and win-win situations, strengthening Korea-India relations.
Additionally, Ambassador Chang released a compendium titled ‘India & Republic of Korea – Enduring Business Partnership @ 50 and beyond’. The compendium, brought out by CII with the support of both embassies and other organizations, showcases successful case studies of Korean companies invested in Bharat and vice versa.
Moreover, the compendium includes stories of business collaboration, such as joint ventures, projects, and technical collaborations between Bharatiyas and Korean companies across various sectors. It serves as a tribute to the remarkable 50-year-long diplomatic ties shared by Bharat and South Korea.
Chairman of CII Delhi State, Puneet Kaura, echoed Ambassador Chang’s sentiments, emphasizing the shared vision of growth and trust between the two countries. He highlighted the transformative potential of collaborative initiatives, citing Korea’s conversion of a dumpsite into the World Cup Eco Park as an example of sustainable development.
Meanwhile, Deepak Jain, Chairman of CII Northern Region, welcomed participants and celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bharat and Korea. He expressed optimism about expanding collaborations across various sectors for mutual prosperity.
The session concluded with a renewed commitment to bolstering Bharat-Korea economic relations, fostering mutual prosperity, and paving the way for innovative partnerships in the future.
