Tragic Incident: Kerala Man Killed in Hezbollah Missile Attack
The advisory follows a tragic incident where an Bharatiya national from Kerala lost his life, while two others sustained injuries, in a missile attack launched by Hezbollah terrorists from Lebanon. The anti-tank missile struck an orchard near the border community of Margaliot in northern Israel.
Patnibin Maxwell, hailing from Kollam in Kerala, was identified as the deceased. Two others, Bush-Joseph George and Paul Melvin, also from Kerala, were injured in the attack and received medical treatment at local hospitals. George underwent surgery for injuries sustained on his face and body, while Melvin suffered slight injuries.
Additionally, four other individuals were moderately injured, and one more victim was listed in good condition following the attack, which is believed to have been carried out by the Shi’ite Hezbollah faction in Lebanon.
Expressing condolences, the Israel embassy in Bharat condemned the cowardly terror attack and extended prayers to the families of the victims. The embassy described the incident as a tragic act of violence against peaceful agricultural workers.
In a statement, the embassy reassured that Israeli medical institutions are fully committed to providing assistance to those injured in the attack. It emphasized that Israel stands united against terrorism and is equally dedicated to supporting all nationals, Israeli or foreign, affected by such acts of violence.
Support and Assistance for Affected Families
The embassy affirmed its commitment to supporting the families of the victims and offering them necessary assistance during this difficult time. It reiterated that Israel views the safety and well-being of all individuals, regardless of nationality, as a top priority and will continue to provide support and care to those affected by acts of terrorism.
As investigations into the incident continue, both Bharatiya and Israeli authorities are working closely to ensure the safety and security of all nationals residing or visiting Israel.
