On Tuesday, the Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s office announced that the Central Government has allocated Rs 559 crore for 33 development projects in Uttarakhand. This significant financial injection aims to bolster development efforts across various sectors in the state. The Union Finance Ministry conveyed this allocation to the Uttarakhand government via a formal letter.
Expressing his appreciation, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the importance of these funds in accelerating the pace of development within Uttarakhand. He extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for their support in this endeavor. The Chief Minister emphasized the transformative impact these funds would have on the state’s infrastructure and overall progress.
In a recent event held in Laksar, Haridwar district, Chief Minister Dhami laid the foundation stones and inaugurated several schemes collectively worth Rs 68.82 crore. These initiatives encompass a wide range of projects aimed at uplifting various communities and enhancing infrastructure across the state. Among these schemes, 51 projects worth Rs 65.34 crore were initiated, along with others amounting to Rs 3.48 crore.
During the event, Chief Minister Dhami personally handed over keys to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, providing them with access to affordable housing. Additionally, he distributed gas connections and disbursed financial assistance to self-help groups, reaffirming the government’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities.
