A Delhi-based visa consultancy firm, RAS Overseas Foundation, has come under scrutiny by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its alleged involvement in trafficking Bharatiya youths to Russia. The firm stands accused of sending approximately 180 youths to Russia over the past few months, sparking concerns about their well-being and involvement in illicit activities.
Most of these youths were sent to Russia under the guise of student visas, but CBI investigations reveal a more sinister plot. It has been uncovered that at least two Russia-based agents associated with the firm confiscated the passports of Bharatiyas upon arrival in Russia. Subsequently, these individuals were subjected to combat training before being deployed to engage in armed conflicts, potentially with armed forces.
Furthermore, the probe indicates that the process of enlisting these individuals into the army was conducted illegally by private contractors, raising serious legal and ethical concerns. CBI is now diligently working to trace the whereabouts of each of these youths sent to Russia by RAS Overseas Foundation, while also investigating the extent of their involvement in the conflict zones.
The investigation has shed light on a vast network of agents operating both in Bharat and Russia, with many of these individuals having ties to multiple visa and consultancy firms. The FIR filed by CBI lists 19 suspects, including the firms and their directors, as well as the agents involved in the illicit operations.
Among the accused, Suyash Mukut, the director of the Delhi-based firm, and Faisal Abdul Mutalib Khan, alias Baba, the director of Baba Vlogs Overseas Recruitment Solutions Pvt Ltd in Dubai, have been named. Faisal Abdul Mutalib Khan allegedly runs a vlog under the name Babavlogs, using social media platforms to entice individuals with false promises.
CBI’s investigation has revealed the gravity of the situation, highlighting the exploitation of vulnerable individuals for illicit purposes. The agency is working tirelessly to ensure justice for the victims and to dismantle the network of agents and firms involved in such illegal activities.
The authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and cautious while seeking overseas opportunities, emphasizing the importance of verifying the legitimacy of visa consultancy firms and avoiding deals that seem too good to be true. In light of this case, stricter regulations and oversight are likely to be implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future, safeguarding the interests and well-being of Bharatiya youths seeking opportunities abroad.
