A significant milestone has been achieved in Assam’s agriculture-horticulture sector as organic ginger from Golaghat district’s Padum Pothar Farmers’ Producer Company (FPC) makes its debut in the international market of Dubai. A total of 10 metric tons of organic ginger has been successfully exported.
Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Atul Bora expressed his joy over this accomplishment on social media. He credited the rapid transformations in Assam’s agriculture-horticulture sector to the special emphasis and dedicated efforts of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Minister Bora extended his heartfelt congratulations to the hardworking farmers of Assam for their relentless efforts in making this achievement possible.
Acknowledging the collaborative efforts behind this milestone, Minister Bora expressed gratitude to all officials from the Agriculture and Horticulture Department, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), and other stakeholders. Their support and facilitation played a crucial role in enabling the successful export of Assam’s farm produce to international markets.
The export of organic ginger to Dubai not only highlights the agricultural prowess of Assam but also signifies its growing presence on the global stage.
