After Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, vows humanitarian support to Ukraine, early resolution of war.

Conveyed India’s consistent support for all efforts for peace and bringing an early end to the ongoing conflict. While discussing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, the PM Modi reiterated Bharat’s people-centric approach and called for dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward.
He emphasized that Bharat supports all efforts for a peaceful resolution of all issues between the Parties. He added that Bharat would continue to do everything within its means to support a peaceful solution.
President Zelenskyy appreciated Bharat’s continued humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine. Before concluding the conversations, the two leaders agreed to remain in touch.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to President Vladimir Putin as he congratulated the Russian leader on his re-election and reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy are the way forward in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Both leaders in their telephonic conversation reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global issues, said officials.
They agreed to further strengthen the Bharat-Russia Special & Priviledged Strategic Partnership. Modi conveyed his best wishes for peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Russia
