Taiwan Tracks 32 Chinese Warplanes in 24 Hrs | Warns of ‘Enormous’ Chinese Military Build-Up
Taiwan on Thursday warned of enormous military build-up in the South China Sea after it tracked Chinese incursions into its territory. In the past 24 hours, the Taiwanese Defense Ministry detected 32 Chinese military aircraft around the island, marking it to be the second-highest number this year. While 20 of the 32 detected Chinese warplanes have “crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait”, the Taiwanese Defense Ministry said that “if there is an opportunity, Taiwan will use the "best way" to demonstrate its sovereignty over Itu Aba.
