Taking stringent action against the Delhi CM for repeatedly ignoring a total of nine summons by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the investigative agency arrested Arvind Kejriwal late at night on Thursday, hours after searching his residence and questioning him regarding his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Case. The Central Investigative Agency was forced to arrest the AAP leader as he was not cooperating with the investigations and even refused to go to the ED office for questioning. He becomes the first sitting CM to be arrested in the independent India.
