On Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was produced before the Rouse Avenue court following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday.
However, the hearing on his remand application is still underway. After two hours of questioning at his residence, The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday night arrested Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party president Arvind Kejriwal after two hours of questioning at his residence in connection with the excise policy case.
The arrest came after the Delhi High Court refused any interim protection from arrest to the AAP chief in connection with the summonses issued to him by the federal agency in the liquor policy scam case.
”Arvind Kejriwal was issued summons 9 times and the court has not given any protection to him against the arrest and this needs to be understood. Those who are trying to create this as a problem are a danger for democracy. The same thing suits K Kavitha also and today her bail petition was rejected’, said Tamil Nadu BJP Vice President Narayanan Thirupathy.
