Hours after US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan visited the capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv, it came under heavy missile attack on Thursday. The attack, the first in six weeks, witnessed more than 25,000 people taking shelter in the city’s metro stations, while images and video flooded social media with visuals of crowds crammed underground, reminiscing the early days of the war. The Ukrainian officials stated that Russia fired two ballistic missiles and 29 cruise missiles at the Kyiv region, all of which were shot down by Ukraine’s armed forces.
