The Oil Marketing Companies have announced a reduction in the prices of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders across the country, including metro cities – New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
The rates revised by Rs 30-32 come into effect starting April 1. In New Delhi, a commercial cylinder, used in many establishments such as hotels and restaurants, will cost Rs 1,764.50 from today, down from Rs 1,795 as on March 1.
In Mumbai, the price has been reduced to Rs 1,717.50 from Rs 1,749. In Chennai, the price has been slashed by Rs 30. The current price is Rs 1,930, down from Rs 1,960.50
Meanwhile, the commercial cylinder price in Kolkata saw a dip from Rs 1,911 to Rs 1,879. Commercial gas cylinder rates differ from state to state based on the incidence of local taxation.
