Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) National President JP Nadda commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in bolstering rural development during his tenure. Speaking at a public gathering, Nadda highlighted the significant strides made in electrifying villages and enhancing infrastructure in rural areas.
Since assuming power in 2014, PM Modi’s government has successfully provided electricity to 18,000 villages within just 1,000 days. Additionally, over 3,50,000 villages have been connected with roads, and 5 lakh villages have achieved open defecation-free status. Moreover, 12 crore toilets have been constructed, benefiting millions of households and improving sanitation.
Nadda underscored PM Modi’s commitment to poverty alleviation, noting that 80 crore people have received free rations, lifting 25 crore individuals above the poverty line. Furthermore, 4 crore pucca houses have been built under the PM Awas Yojna, aimed at providing affordable housing to the marginalized sections of society.
The BJP president also lauded the implementation of Ayushman Bharat, which offers free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh for economically disadvantaged individuals. He emphasized the transformative impact of these initiatives in empowering rural communities and improving their quality of life.
Nadda urged voters to prioritize a corruption-free and development-oriented government during elections. He emphasized the importance of citizen participation in shaping the country’s trajectory and encouraged voters to make informed decisions based on the government’s track record and future promises.
Highlighting initiatives aimed at marginalized communities, Nadda mentioned the tripling of the budget for Dalit welfare and the Stand-up scheme benefiting nearly two lakh Dalits. He also emphasized schemes such as Ujjwala Yojana, Ujala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, and Sulabh Toilet Yojana for empowering women and improving their socio-economic status.
Moreover, Nadda praised legislative efforts to enhance women’s representation in government, citing the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. He announced plans to increase female representation in the Lok Sabha to 33 percent by 2029 and in state assemblies, including Rajasthan, by 2028.
In conclusion, Nadda reiterated PM Modi’s vision for inclusive development, encapsulated in the acronym “GYAN” – which stands for empowering the poor (G), youth (Y), farmers (C), and women (N). He emphasized that these pillars of development are crucial for the nation’s progress and prosperity.
