Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Joins 'Moye Moye' Trend, Mocks Opposition at Ghaziabad Rally

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, at a public rally in Ghaziabad, added a twist of humor to his speech by referencing the viral ‘moye moye’ trend while taking a jibe at the opposition bloc. He suggested that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would overpower the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The ‘moye moye’ trend originated from a Serbian song called “Dzanum” by singer Teya Dora. Despite the original lyrics conveying despair, the catchy tune became a sensation on platforms like TikTok, spreading rapidly across social media. Although often perceived as ‘Moye Moye’, the correct phrase is “Moye More”.

Rajnath Singh’s Remarks

Singh’s remarks highlighted the perceived fragility of the opposition alliance, suggesting that it lacks the strength to challenge the NDA. He humorously implied that the people would dismiss the opposition’s efforts in the elections, using the phrase “Is desh ki janata iska bhi moye moye kar degi”.

Campaigning for BJP Candidate

During his speech, Singh campaigned for BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Ghaziabad, Atul Garg. Garg, a member of the state legislative assembly, received the ticket after Union Minister VK Singh withdrew from the race. Singh urged voters to support Garg in the upcoming elections.

Reference to Ukraine Crisis

Singh also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role in facilitating the repatriation of Bharatiya nationals stranded in war-hit Ukraine. He praised the government’s efforts in ensuring the safe return of 22,500 Bharatiya students from Ukraine, despite the ongoing conflict. However, the claim that Russia briefly halted the war for India has been denied by the Ministry of External Affairs.

Rajnath Singh’s speech at the Ghaziabad rally not only showcased political rhetoric but also tapped into popular culture with references to the ‘moye moye’ trend. His remarks aimed to bolster support for the BJP candidate while subtly mocking the opposition alliance’s chances in the upcoming elections.
