The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made changes to the speed limit on the Yellow Line, easing concerns over delays. Initially set at 20 kilometers per hour (KMPH) between Chhatarpur and Sultanpur, the restriction has now been raised to 25 KMPH.
The decision to revise the speed limit comes after commuters experienced delays due to ongoing construction work for the Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor of Phase 4. The DMRC had imposed the lower speed limit as a precautionary measure during tunnel construction.
In response to passenger inconvenience, the DMRC announced the adjustment via social media, ensuring that necessary announcements are made within the metro system. This move aims to regulate train movement effectively, minimizing disruptions for commuters traveling along the affected section.
The Delhi Metro system is a vital transportation network that links the capital city with neighboring satellite cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Bahadurgarh, and Ballabhgarh. With 12 color-coded lines, spanning 288 stations, and covering a total length of 392.44 kilometers, it plays a crucial role in facilitating travel across the National Capital Region of Bharat.
Efforts to enhance efficiency and convenience for passengers underscore the commitment of the DMRC to providing reliable and accessible public transportation services. Despite temporary disruptions, such adjustments ensure that commuters can continue to rely on the Delhi Metro for their daily travel needs.
