Drawing attention to historical and contemporary challenges, Prime Minister Modi asserted that the Congress party had played a significant role in divisive issues such as the Partition of the country, Kashmir conflict, and Naxalism. He highlighted the Congress’s opposition to the construction of the Ram temple and its reluctance to acknowledge the existence of Lord Ram.
Highlighting the accomplishments of his government during its tenure, Prime Minister Modi claimed that the BJP-led administration had successfully tackled issues such as Naxalism and terrorism. He criticized the Congress for allegedly adopting soft policies on terrorism for the sake of vote-bank politics, further alleging that the Congress manifesto bore the imprint of the Muslim League.
Prime Minister Modi framed the upcoming elections as a choice between stability and instability. He positioned the BJP as a party committed to making strong and decisive decisions for the benefit of the country, contrasting it with the Congress party and its allies, whom he accused of pursuing power for personal gain.
Maharashtra, with its significant contribution of 48 MPs to the Lok Sabha, holds considerable importance in the upcoming elections. The state will witness polling in five phases, starting from April 19 and concluding on May 20. The counting of votes is scheduled for June 4.
In the previous 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party in Maharashtra, securing 23 seats, followed closely by the undivided Shiv Sena with 18 seats. With the stakes high, Prime Minister Modi’s rally aimed to rally support for the BJP and project a positive image of stability and progress under its leadership.
