Former Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, who has been in jail for the past 14 months in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam, filed an interim bail plea in the Rouse Avenue Court on Friday. The plea was heard by Special Judge Kaveri Baweja at 2 pm. Sisodia’s lawyer argued that he is a senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and should be granted interim bail for election campaigning. The court has scheduled the next hearing for April 20, asking both investigating agencies to respond before that date. Previously, Sisodia’s bail plea was rejected, and his judicial custody was extended until April 15.
