The voice of truth and the sole individual to cause stir in Tamil Nadu politics this election season, Tamil Nadu BJP President and party candidate from Coimbatore seat K Annamalai has accused the ruling DMK and AIADMK of spending Rs 1,000 crore in Coimbatore to convince voters to vote in their favour.
Annamalai who cast his vote at Uthupatti polling booth in Karur village on Friday, made these comments while expressing confidence in the historic result for the NDA on June 4. He also affirmed that BJP will see a significant rise in vote share in Tamil Nadu.
“What DMK, AIADMK is doing in Coimbatore, everybody is watching it. More than Rs 1,000 crore has been spent in Coimbatore. If they can bring one voter in front of the media to say that some BJP person is trying to influence them, I will leave politics the same day because I am running in this election as a matter of principle,” Annamalai told ANI.
Annamalai’s strong demeanor and honest stance made BJP a strong contender in the state, , “People of Tamil Nadu are with PM Modi. In Karnataka, we are expecting a clean sweep this time. The BJP will be the number one party in Telangana… Tamil Nadu this time will deliver a very big resounding result; an increase in vote share… Dravidian politics time is over,” he said.
Annamalai is contending in this election against Ganapathy P. Rajkumar from DMK and Singai Ramachandran from AIADMK, both representing Coimbatore. All 39 seats in Tamil Nadu are voting in the first phase.
