According to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a clash erupted between workers of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress during the INDIA bloc’s rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Ravi Shankar Prasad, a leader of the BJP, alleged that the allies in Bihar threw chairs at each other, portraying the Opposition’s bloc as a “quarrelsome alliance”.
Prasad further asserted that the alliance was primarily formed for personal gains, lacking unity among its constituents. He moreover emphasized the discord within the coalition and questioned its ability to unite the nation when its own members couldn’t stand together.
The BJP leader urged the concerned parties to manage their workers better to avoid such incidents in the future. The clash at the rally highlights the underlying tensions within the alliance and raises questions about its stability and effectiveness in achieving its objectives.

Responding to the BJP’s claims, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the rally, asserting that Hemant Soren’s arrest was a consequence of his refusal to sever ties with the INDIA bloc. Kharge commended Soren for his courage in choosing jail over compromise and accused the BJP of using intimidation tactics, particularly targeting tribal communities.
Kharge’s remarks shows the political agenda and the tactics used by Congress party, also using Soren as a symbol of resistance against alleged government oppression. The rally serves as a platform for Opposition leaders to voice their grievances and mobilize support against the ruling party.
Overall, the INDIA bloc rally in Ranchi becomes a battleground for political rhetoric, with each side attempting to sway public opinion in their favor amidst escalating tensions and accusations.
