Delhi HC Junks PIL Seeking Kejriwal’s Extraordinary Interim Bail, Slaps 7K Fine on Petitioner
In a rather interesting angle to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s Delhi Liqour Policy Scam Case, the Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed a plea by a fourth-year law student seeking the release of Delhi CM on “extraordinary interim bail” in all criminal cases registered by the Enforcement Directorate and the State till the completion of his tenure. The court also imposed ₹75,000 fine on the petitioner who claimed that he had a “veto power” to safeguard Kejriwal, whose “safety is in danger”.
