Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to rally citizens, urging strong participation in today’s elections. “I urge everyone in constituencies voting today, in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections, to participate in record number. A high voter turnout strengthens our democracy. I especially urge our young voters and women voters to turn out in great numbers. Your vote is your voice!” he asserted in a post on X.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh too expressed on social media, “I urge every eligible citizen to exercise their democratic right and vote for the rightful candidate as we start voting for the second Phase of the Lok Sabha Election, today. Let us come together to shape the future of our nation by casting our votes thoughtfully and responsibly, ensuring that every ballot is cast with conviction and commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive Bharat.”

Across the five constituencies in Assam, where the second phase of Lok Sabha polls is underway, 9,133 polling stations have been set up. Assam Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Goel assured the public during a press conference in Guwahati that all requisite arrangements have been meticulously made.
